States Parties to the Convention on Disabilities
The first session of the Conference of States Parties to the Convention on
the Rights of Persons with Disabilities will take place in New York from 31
October-3 November 2008. During the meeting, the States Parties will
formally establish the Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities,
and elect its members. Documents released for the meeting include the
provisional agenda (CRPD/CSP/2008/2) and the provisional rules of procedure
(CRPD/CSP/2008/3). Read more about the candidates for the Committee from the
website and the notes by the Secretary-General (CRPD/CSP/2008/1 and Add.1).
