Yes and no - several of my friends BASE jump (for those not in the know,
the official term is Buildings, Antennaes, Structures, and Something
Else I've Forgotten, but it really stands for Bones And Shit Everywhere).
It's not just how low you go, but also the winds and currents you deal
with, how long you can stay aloft, how long you can free fall, and the
accuracy of your landing. So every jump site is unique. Some jump into
Golindrinas, some jump from the New River Bridge, some jump from El Cap.
Each situation is different. Me, I could never come up with the cash for
the skydiving lessons, so that was one dream that got deferred.
