Hi, all.
Tonight, I was testing my HF antennas to see how they fared through the
winter, and noticed something that I don't think is a problem, but just want
to be sure.
I have the TW1 connected between my home shack TS480 and my antenna switch
which holds three HF antennas--an 80-meter dipole, my Windom, and my triband
beam.
I have noticed that with this current set-up, the SWR's remain consistent
whether or not I use the auto-tuner in the TS480. In other words, I get the
same basic SWR reading whether the auto-tuner is used or not.
I assume this is what one would expect, since the TS480 is giving me the
true SWR reading.
Is this a correct assumption?
Again, I have the TW1 connected between the rig and my antenna switch
containing my 3 HF antennas.
Please help refresh this increasingly old and feeble mind! (HI! HI!)
