446.000 on 70CM FM yes.

we used to have a thriving crew on 52 a few years ago...but sadly, all good
things must come to an end.
We even had regular dinners and lunches and stickers, hats, pins and so on
made up.
So many avid repeater hounds forget how fun simplex can be and how well it
really does work on a local basis.
With a properly settup mobile, and 5 watts, you can typically hear and talk
to all the same places the repeater talks in say a 30 mile radius.
A few big bass stations around and you can have great fun on simplex.
I used to run my ts2000 in cross band repeat and go all over the city with
my HT and get back out on 52 from the house.
Running 100 watts on VHF, and I could reach out and touch someone 130KM
away with my vertical most times...this from my wee handheld on the bus.
