There are other notetakers on the market besides the ones offered by Freedom
Scientific. There's the BrailleSense Plus the HIMS product sold by GW
Micro. There's also the BrailleNote sold by HumanWare. Many people like
these products.
Also, do you want a full-fledged notetaker or do you use your PC most of the
time and need only a limited notetaker? If your answer is yes, then you
could consider the braille displays sold by HandyTech North America. They
are well-made products with limited notetaking capabilities and are great to
use with a PC or cell phone.
Presently, I use both the HandyTech BrailleWave and the HumanWare
BrailleNote Mpower.
