One end of my 40 meter inverted vee is down because of some work being done
on our roof.

Between that problem, and an S9 noise level, Lou, WA3MIX, was the only
positive ID I made here.

Within the next few weeks, I hope to completely re-work my lower HF antenna
setup. My plan at the moment is to pull down both my 80 and 40 meter
inverted vee's, and install a 40 meter Extended Double Zep.

It will be at either 40 or 60 feet, depending on whether or not I can get it
through some tree branches at the more desirable 60 foot level.

If this antenna works like the "experts" have told me, I will have coverage
from 160 meters up, with about 3 db of gain on 40 meters.

The trade-off will be the necessity of using a manual tuner. But, I'm
willing to do that if it will get me on 160.

Keep your fingers crossed, and keep burning up the airwaves with those
Blind-hams signals. I'll be there too eventually.
