Matt,

If you have an ohm meter or a continuity checker, you can determine which 
wire is which.  Attach one lead of the meter to the case of the radio, being 
sure it's clipped to something metal.  Connect the other lead to one of the 
wires.  If you get a reading of 0, you're connected to the negative lead. 
If you get a high reading, you're connected to the plus lead.  If you're 
using a continuity checker, it will buzz when you're connected to ground, 
and remain silent when you've got the plus lead.
