Hi Lou,

The Yaesu VR5000 overloads easily, and if your near a cell phone tower or a 
local broadcast transmitter, the VR5000 is worthless, but I bought it for 
coverage above 1 ghz, and that works very well.  If I hook up my low band 
antennas to the receiver, the front end of the receiver immediately 
overloads.

Hey Bob.

What do you think of the receiver?  Does it strike you as something that
would be usable in an urban environment, or do you think it would roll over
with desens like the Icom R100 does when you get it anywhere near a city?
