Nothing special about the cable, you can get it anywhere.  Just be sure it 
is straight  through and not a null modem cable.  I mentioned the gender 
changer before since Kenwood kind of went against convention and put a male 
plug on the radio.   So you will need a cable   that is female at both ends, 
and since a lot of cables are male one end and female at the other, you may 
need  an adapter.
