Ed, you are right.  He was the only ham for years from there and it was JY1
for his call.  I never worked him but I have worked other members of the
royal family who got into ham radio over the years.  When our hostages were
spending a year imprisoned in Iran, I worked someone from the French Embassy
in Iran on 20 side band.  It sure was weird.  I never even sent him a card
but I got one from him in the mail about a month later.  Talk about a pile
up.
