Richard,
For now, you still have different receivers depending on which company you
started with, but I think that will change eventually. For now, the big
change is that the two companies are starting to combine their programming.
I don't think anyone yet knows how the technological stuff will shake out.
Personally, I hope they go with the XM delivery system because I think it's
technically better, but as we all know, that isn't always the way things
work. In any event, time will tell.
