The process is quite easy, Ed.  It involves three steps.

1.  Sending a request to NLS with your name, address and e-mail address, and 
the type of player you want to register I.E. Victor Stream, Icon/BraillePlus, 
etc.

2.  After you receive verification from NLS, there will be a link to send to 
the respective player manufacturer.  On that form, you give them your unit's 
serial number.

3.  In a couple days, you'll get a response back from the manufacturer with 
the key that you need to import into your unit.  If you have an Icon or 
BraillePlus, you can update it directly from its update menu if you have 
internet access.  If you have a Victor Stream, you save the attached file in 
the root of your SD card, and plug the card back into the stream and turn the 
stream on.  It automatically registers the key, after which point, you can 
delete it from the root of your SD card's directory.
