I agree with you here, but I think Shaun is talking about when you set
things up in the initial set menu. I never played with locking out modes,
but I don't think any of the settings in the initial set menu talk as you
adjust them by turning the tuning knob.
That's why I had to get initial sighted assistance, but once that was done,
I was pretty well set.
