I would delete the swap file on exit and use the same drive.

I have a multi-boot system - WinXP DA and US and Win7, each has it's own swap file on separate logical drives.
Since I'm only using one system at a time I should only need one logical drive?
I assume that the system will be confused if it tries to use a swap file that was created by another system, so the question is if it is smart enough to delete the file and create a new one or do I need to change the settings to delete the swap file when I close windows and in which case how do I do that?
