Eric the real thing you have to get used to is the spacing at 13wpm.  Once 
you conquer that hurdle your speed will go up surprisingly rapidly.  When 
you start copying the arrl bulletins at 18 you know you're making progress. 
I was copying 90% at 18 when I went in for my extra test and when I did that 
one, the fcc had to give me 100% because they had a mistake in their answer 
key and I had a verbatim copy of the Braille which I read to them and 
actually at that point I was at 25 wpm so 20 was armchair copy. 73- pat kk3f
