When you get the rig, put minue 111 in it. you can get that minue off the kenwood website. please let me know how you'll be doing with the radio. that is, the tmv71a. 
oh yah, you can recieve and tranmit ao51 with the right antenna. i'll tell you how to set up your uplinks and down links. 
step 1 put vfo a on 145.920 then put vfo b on 435.300. and now you have it. 

please let me no how you like the rig. i have one.
