Hi Richard,
The basic functions of the radio are fairly easy to learn. I wasn't
familiar with the radio at all when I bought it and within one hour I was
operating. You can get some help from www.handiham.org and
www.icanworkthisthing.com. I haven't spent the time to learn the more
difficult things yet but hopefully that will come soon. For what I've done
so far it is a very nice radio and the price is even getting better. Hro
has it for $1399.95. There's also plenty of help on this list.

Hi Gary;
I don't own a ts2000 but I'm considering the situation after the recent =
price drop. I have heard a number of comments concerning the =
difficulty of the radio and the steep learning curve. Were the basics =
at least fairly straight forward or was it as much of a struggle as has =
been suggested elsewhere?

Okay, I'm not sure what I did but when I press the PF button to have =
it
speak the frequency it says menu, 23, off. When I press it again it =
says
VFO and reads the frequency. Does anyone know how to get it back to =
just
reading the frequency? I've pressed the menu button but that doesn't =
do it.
Thanks for any help.
