I have a dLink card that is supposed to be faster than 802-11b but it is older and not the same as the 802-11a standard.
Your card and wireless router have to share the same protocol.
How are you connecting to the Internet now? Do you use ethernet or a phone modem?

Hi,
Thanks for the information. Yes, I lost the router So, If I ant to go back to a wireless internet connection Would I have to buy both pieces or could I just buy the router?
I am thinking of going to a cable as my provider of my internet service. I did this before and had the same kind of set up. The only problems was the signal would drop quite often when I was listening to a talk or some thing like that. If I was listening to Rhapsody I didn't have any problems. Is this some thing common with a type of set up like this.
