There was a modification floating around for the Kenwoods that ran 6146 
finals.

I forget exactly what was involved, but, I think it raised the screen 
voltage.

Many people claimed to get 130 watts or more out of the modified rigs. They 
usually made this modification in order to get more drive power for large, 
and probably somewhat over the edge, amplifiers.

The concern that John has is that running that much power really pushes a 
pair of 6146's to their limit.

My concern would be that in most cases, it also creates some stray radiation 
throughout a major portion of the spectrum.
