Eric,

I like the R75, too, but you are right about the sound from the build in
speaker.  The Ic7000 is a little better but still pretty tinny.  I'm trying
out some external speakers to see how I can improve the quality of sound
from it.  The 480 is a dandy radio so you won't be sorry if you get it.
