If the SWR is higher, the reflected power is higher, The total watts are the 
same.  The difference is where they go.  What you will want to know, is what 
is the SWR where you want to transmit.  If it is to high, the question is 
does it go down if you move up or down in frequency.  If it goes down when 
you move down in frequency, the antenna is to long.  This is where an 
antenna analizer or grid dip meter can become really handy.  Since they 
don't talk, I hope you have a talking or Cw read out SWR meter.
