I think the two main reasons for a decline in ham radio are the internet and 
cell phones.  I also think antenna restrictions don't encourage hf use.

My hf station is till down and I don't know when, or if, my main antenna 
will be replaced.  I received permission 8 years ago to put up antennas, but 
the building has changed owners and managers.  I haven't been asked to take 
down my 2m/440m antenna or my 10m mobile whip, but I don't know if they'll 
let me replace the inverted V.

I can't use my 10m antenna because I need to get some connections fixed.
