The IC-7000 sounds a lot better on the air than does the 706 and the receive
is better by quite a bit I'm told. I've had a lot of people tell me the auto
notch filter is real good, but the same can be said for the 706 one, I don't
know how it could be any better to be honest, push that button and the tone
is 100% gone. Icom has a leg up on Kenwood in that department for sure.
