I just had mine cleaned and for about 50 dollars, you get back a like new
machine. Unless, of course, you bounced it down the basement steps into a
bucket of water and the cat peed on it. Then you might need a new roller
and a few spare parts but the things are built so well, you can do almost
anything to them. I only use mine for phone numbers, basic notes, and
addresses but I'm glad I still have one. You know that earth show on cable
that describes what earth will do when all mankind disappears from the face
of the earth? Well, they forgot the Brailler. It will never go away.

Phil.
