Hi everyone;
Since we haven't had lots of activity on 2 meters locally I just set the
radio to scan the frequencies in memory. Also tried scanning the band.
What I am finding is that there are lots of mysterious carriers throughout
the band that obviously stop the scan. I am wondering if they might be
caused by some computer equipment, cordless phones or a dreaded cable leak?
I haven't taken the radio for a walk to see if things quiet down when I
leave my happy home but that is on the to do list. I had lots of possible
cable leak adventures at a prior qth and I am hoping we aren't going down
that path again.
Richard
