I don't know why, but some people got it with a wallwart plug, others, like 
myself got it with a power cable with the right connector for the tuner on 1 
end and bare wires on the other. Naturally, I hooked it to my Astron power 
supply with everything else in my station. Personally I think it's better 
that way anyway, let chance of a ground loop by my way of thinking, and 
based on that, you can run it on a battery if you wanted to. I leave mine 
hooked up 24/7, the TW2 I don't, because I have too much loss on UHF as it 
is and that's just more, but the TW1, I leave in line all the time. You 
could run the full 100 watts through it for tuning if you wanted to, but it 
could be hard on the radio that way. No more than with out it, though.
