Hello to all, I was reading through the manual by Handi hams on CD about the D7A G one problem I have been having is turning off the bottom B display. What I did in the past was to do a reset and start all over again. To night I found by pressing the zero key I can turn the display on and off so it will show both displays. That will save me a lot of time in the future. I have all ways believed in learning how to correct mistakes Because I know I will all ways make them.
According to the way I understood the manual, and that might be wrong, Noing me it probably is, but you can program VHF and UHF frequencies on both bands a and B, but I have found on my radio it will only let you program 442 frequencies on band b. And when you program the UHF frequencies The Autimatic frequency ofset does not work or again I am doing some thing wrong. I am thinking about calling R &L in the next few days to discuss it with them. Maybe they might have some ideas. The radio was used so UHF problems might have got passed them when they checked it out. I am not angry or do I have hard feelings. I realize things happen so if the problem is corrected I will be happy. and if it is my fault well again, it is another opportunity to learn.
A local Ham at the club meeting tried to program a 442 frequency into the radio and he didn't have success with the ofset problem. On the other hand he mostly uses Yasu equiptment. No matter what I decided to do I will handle it with respect and deplomicy.
Your suggestions would be appreciated.
thanks and havve a good day.
