I used to own an mc60 and the problem is that it's an amplified mic so you have to turn your mic gain all the way down and the mc60 was designed to be used with a variety of impedances so the problem is in the mic itself and is definitely a cable problem.  I've used an mfj desk mic with the mic gain turned down with more success.  73- pat kk3f
