Hey, Family

An update and praise about the MP and child custody. To catch you up, my
buddy the MP who helped me so much when I was sick has been in Korea for
half a year. Just before he left he started raising his 3-year-old nephew
because the unwed mother is a druggie and transient. Just after he left the
boy's mother fought the custody and is trying to get the boy back full time.
The MP came back this week and they went to court for custody.

The mother hasn't improved her lifestyle but wants the boy fulltime but the
judge said no, she can have him for visitation but he will remain with my
friend the MP and his wife and children in a stable homelife he has come to
know. The mother wanted him for Christmas but the judge determined he
should spend Christmas with his new family and she will have him a few days
later. Her father (my buddy's brother) is also a homosexual who is HIV
positive and on probation for bringing drugs across the border. That (the
boy's grandfather) is the person the mother brings the boy to spend time
with, and lets the boy drink from the grandfather's cup and eat from his
plate. (She did the same thing when she was sick with the flu with her own
cups and dishes.) She has another child, a daughter, who is being raised by
her mother, so that child (a girl) thinks her grandmother is her mother.

Anyway, bottom line in all this mess is that the boy will remain most of the
time, including Christmas, with my friend and his family and the messed up
mother will only have visitation for several days at a time. The boy
doesn't even want that. He wants to wake up with his new Daddy and Mommy in
the morning, not with the misfit mother. So pray he will be able to deal
with this trauma.

Paul
