The problem with the Wilson tower isn't so much replacing the cable for the
winch; it's properly mounting the house bracket to the rafters. It was a
pretty big job when I installed one at a rental in 1981.
Basically, you take the facia off, mount brackets on the ends of the exposed
rafters for about sixteen feet. Then, you need to get a piece of 4 x 8 or 6 x
8 lumber cut at an angle lengthwise so that the bracket is exactly
perpendicular with the ground. This means you need to find a lumber yard that
can cut it at a angle usually around 15 degrees or so along the length of the
piece of wood.
You then mount that wood onto the brackets with bolts and washers. Then, you
mount one end of the bracket.
Now, it only took three of us to walk the tower to the upright position. Once
it is upright, position the bracket around it and bolt it in.
I supported a tribander and two meter beam using that tower and it was very
good for that kind of load. But, you need to be sure to crank it down before
any heavier winds.
