Hi there,

Here is a site which has all the information you will ever need about
System Restore

    http://bertk.mvps.org/html/healthy.html

This site will tell you how to clean out restore points and many, many
other things about System Restore. It is written by a Microsoft MVP so
the info is good.

Hope this helps.
