. CONTINENTAL GLUTEN-FREE MEALS:
From: [log in to unmask], 4/3/2010
Wow! "Continental reversed their decision and will reinstate Gluten free
meals beginning on May 1st, 2010 on flights that offer special meals.
Special meals are no longer available on most domestic flights except for
the transcontinental flights and international flights transpacific,
transatlantic and other long haul flights.
Please check with our representatives on which flights we offer special
meals. Please know that all special meals must be ordered before 24 hours
prior to departure. Also please remember that if you change flights, the
special meal automatically cancels and you will have to re-request the
meal."
We wonder how the United/Continental merger will affect this decision,
although United has been serving gluten-free meals on international flights
all along. Perhaps our letter writing did the trick!!?
