Brad, Chris, Kathy and Rhonda.  Funny stories.  They're great.

Once I added baking soda instead of cornstarch to a sauce.  And I had
company coming.  I realized with that little sizzle that soda makes what I
had done.  The roast had a very strange flavor.  LOL!  Yuck!
