Nicely said, Michael.  It reminds us of why we're here, and why the day has been set aside for remembrances.  Sometimes Memorial Day feels like a holiday for others.  Your story showed how it could be meaningful for everyone, given the chance.  Nothing much happening here, but appreciating the peace we enjoy at home.
