Hi Erick
when you mentioned the Drake reciever I thought of the first 2 meter  rig I 
had.  it was a drake tr22c.  it looked like a CB radio with a mike on a 
coiled wire.  the case had a pouch for the mike when you were carying it. 
That radio was crystal controled or as I think they used to call them rock 
bottomed bound or some thing like that.  so when you went to  a different 
city which might have different repeaters you had to get new crystals.
