She is going to have to have some kind of tower for the Hazer. I paid some
guys to dig a hole for the base of my 48 foot free standing tower. We put
the base in a 5 by 5 by 5 foot block of cement with a lot of rebar. We put
the tower together on the ground and then I had a crane truck come out and
one fellow ham got in the bucket and they picked up the tower and set it on
the base and he bolted it down and put the mast rotator and antennas up and
we did it in the 2 hour minimum which cost me $175.
Keep in mind that was over a period of time getting it all done, because
it all cost money and I am not rich. Now that I think about it, I think it
took a year. I have the capability for U H F, V H F and H F beams, but it
will come in time. I will need a crane truck one more time, want to have
all the antennas together and ready to go up. I hate to think about how
many trips up and down the tower if we did it with a gin pole and climbing
belt.
