Richard,
I am using Outlook Express version 6.00. When I respond to a list message,
I use Control-R to open the edit field for my response. Control-R is the
keystroke for "reply to sender" and, because the sender is the list itself,
the response should be seen by all subscribers. If, on the other hand, the
message to which I am responding was sent only to me by some other
subscriber then only that subscriber would see my response.
I was under the impression that a special-interest list group usually
functions in a manner such that all subscribers should see all responses
thereby reducing the need for multiple subscribers to repeatedly ask the
same question. Maybe not??

Hi list;
To put the question another way, when using outlook or outlook express does
anyone know which settings determine how messages go to the list so that if
someone replies it goes to the individual rather than the list? Once one
had that info, if someone wanted replies to their posts to go to the list
and not just to them privately they had the option to set their software
accordingly.
