If that area's like the Akron area there is allot of real-estate on 440 that has little activity so 
finding a pair won't be a problem the bigger question is not can I but should I and that's a question only 
Jennifer could answer and if I were making a similar decision, given the dearth of activity on 440 I 
wouldn't take that one on  you might find it to be more trouble than it's worth.

One more question, I'm not certain why you want to listen to so many things
at once?  I'm sure the challenge is fun but other than that how many things
can you keep track of at the same time.
If you are trying to put up your own repeater you might consider both cost,
local frequency availability and whether there is really the need for
another local repeater?  We have lots of machines here that are barely used
the last thing we would here is one more unused repeater.
Not trying to discourage you just suggest some other things to consider.

radio.  Also how much would a good 440 repeater cost?  I know there is =
allot involved but I do not know what else to do at this point.  Also if =
I put echo link on 220 what frequency can I use to cross band if I need =
to?  I really hope that someone has some advice for me.  I know a =
repeater would not be a good way to go because it is expensive among =
other things.
