I had requested information to pass on to my Aunt who is looking to have her son tested. He is suffering from severe acne that has not been helped by one year of Accutane. Below are the suggestions I received. Thank you to every one who responded. I appreciate the feedback.

The following links/articles were sent to me:

*Print the FAQ sheet from www.celiacdisease.net to take to the doctor for back up reasons to test my cousin

Below is general information that was given:
Pixel laser treatments (to help control acne in addition to testing for celiac)

Your relative may meet with resistance from the doctor.  Many of them still believe that ALL celiacs have severe diarrhea. If she cites family history it may help.

Enterolab

Genetic Testing

tissue trans glutaminase (ttg) is over 99% predictive for celiac and is the common screening test

It was suggested he remove dairy from his diet in addition to possibly going gluten free

Children's Hospital in Columbus has a very active support group and the shopping in Columbus for GF food is excellent. Just in case you have not had a chance to shop for GF food in Columbus in addition to the largest (when it opened about 2 years ago) Whole Foods in the country they have 2 Trader Joe's and an independent health food store called The Raisin Rack in north Columbus.

Thank you again to every one who responded.
Amy
