Dan:
I would get an EXTERNAL modem next time. The plug and play
hassles with an internal modem are not worth the absence of
another box with wires on my desk and the $20 savings. I had
to get a PS/2 port and mouse to use my serial HPC connection.
Cost more than the $20 savings on the internal modem.
With an EXTERNAL modem, a switch box would have worked
(since I am not online while I'm linking the Handheld PC).
Also, Bill advances the traditional reasons with which I concur.
Just my experience.
