hmmm, a safety pin should fit into the BNC center hole no?
So, use a safety pin, scrape off the coating on the tip, put that into the
BNC connecter then scrape off the coating around the spring circle on the
other end of the safety pin, and tie a wire or center of the coax off to
that.
Then you can always use a chunk of wire with a slip not around the ground
portion of the bnc connecter for your ground/counterpoise.
Sound workable?  You can at least listen for a bit when it gets borring.
I presume by the discription that the transmitter has a bnc type connecter?
There has to be somewhere you can find a feed line, like wire or even old tv
coax or something...
too bad though if you can't get it working.
