Hi John,
As I understand it the Kenwood TS480SAT is more accessible than the Kenwood 
2000 with the built in speech board.

I don't own one of those rigs and there are lots of knowledegeable folks on 
this list who can probably give you lots more information.

If you need them I have the instruction manual for that rig plus a key 
chart.

If you need these I'll send them to you from work.
