Below is one more response to the ham gravy. Again, thanks to everyone who responded.
Rita

If no one in your house is diabetic, I make a simple sugar "gravy".

You'll need :
brown sugar
clove powder, or whole cloves (will have to be removed)
juice from the ham if you can, will be fine without it
Small amount of water
Honey
Raisins if you like them

In a small sauce pan, add the brown sugar and a table spoon of water. The amounts will depend on how big of a ham, you can continue adding until you get the amount you like, then add the other ingredients. Heat over low until the sugar melts.

Add a small amount of Ham Juice, a few pinches of clove powder (or a few whole cloves) and some Honey. Heat on low until all flavors are combined and sauce is a syrup consistancy. (Stop here if not adding raisins)Add raisins, let set on lowest setting stirring occasionally to give the raisins a few min to stew and add a bit of flavor. Serve like gravy.

If you use it, I hope you like it. My family loves it. Gives the ham that all over glazed taste.
