Dear listmates: I don't know if anyone else agrees with me, but I feel that the flurry of posts about the GF status of McDonald's french fries is becoming somewhat burdensome. The poster goes on and on about the highly technical scientific and legal aspects of the constituents of fries, then ends her message blaming our "litigious society" or a lack of "legal courage" or "because of law suits" for McDonald's considered choice to leave the decision to eat or not to eat up to the consumer. I have asked the poster to cite any instances of which she is aware where a lawsuit has been filed against McDonald's or any other company for labeling or declaring a product GF when it was in fact GF. To date, no examples have been forthcoming. Please understand that I hope the poster continues to participate in the forum, for she has provided many helpful and interesting posts in the past. I just don't want the forum to become a vehicle for propaganda about our legal system which, with all its wa
rts, is still the best in the world.
Richard
