Debra, I think you should try to find a new doctor. They used to advise
that cheating was OK (25 years ago) but now it is standard practice to
inform all celiac/sprue patients that it is a diet for life. Even if a
celiac feels no immediate effect, damage to the small intestine occurs,
and could cause serious problems later.
