I say this laughing a bit, but you are right. The
quickest way to find one or probably a whole bag of them is to
buy a new rig. Oh well, if that happens, I will have 2
CTCSS-capable 2-meter transceivers.

I don't have very long to mess around as I am net
control every other week for the Stillwater Area net. I imagine
we'll have the tone on there in a month or two since this tropo
skip is killing us this Summer.

Just last night, I was calling the net and it turns out
that the Joplin, Missouri repeater which is the system
co-located on 145.35 with us also called a net at the same time.
It was murder since several of the Missouri stations were full
quieting in to our system and, twice, I thought one was checking
in to our net.

It's not their fault except that a few could probably do
with a little less power or a directional antenna, but we really
can't complain as long as we don't have a tone.

Anyway, the tone board is actually in place on our
repeater and the engineer in charge only has to flip a switch to
enable it so I imagine it will be sooner than later.

	Thanks.
