It was asking me for the manufacturer of the mobo, rather than the memory.
I found compatible memory - really the same memory, but in 2GB (2x1GB) sticks.
Can I use these alongside my 1GB (2x512) sticks?
Thanks,
AnnaSummers

There are very few memory manufactures. Crucial, Samsung, Siemens to
name a few. Brands like Kingston, and Corsair design the memory, and
have it manufactured by a company capable of doing so. So you can
never know where the chips came from. This doesn't make it bad.
Kingston, for example, has one of the best and most reliable brands
on the memory market today.
Corsair is a well respected brand targeted to gamers, enthusiast,
and over clockers.
