        Most people in the US are Vit. D deficient.  Esp. the elderly.  That is
why we are sick all the time.  The face and arms business is dependent on
how far north you are, how cloudy it is, and how dark you are.  I had a
woman recently tell me that she discovered that D banished her SAD.
