My spark is ignited, Rhonda. :) I remember my mom telling me that she
hesitated to teach me things because she had believed God for a healing. My
parents didn't push me very hard, but Mom eventually gave me cooking tips,
and I learned to make bread.
My oldest sister gave me an illustration that I think fits well. When a
wife expects her husband to come home at any time for dinner, does she sit
in the corner waiting, or does she go into the kitchen and start peeling
potatoes? So I would say the same about waiting for God to heal. Do we
have to prove that we have the faith by waiting for it to happen instead of
moving forward and teaching adaptive skills for the time being?
