Well, it's time for an update. I spoke with her by phone yesterday, and 
other than the fact that I had to repeat a few sentences, her hearing was a 
bit better. I asked about how the appointment went, and she said it went 
fine, and she thanked me for sending her all the humorous things I could 
find. Of course, I didn't do it in order for to thank me, I did it, because 
I wasn't just praying for her, I was trying to cheer her up, and apparently 
it worked. She was as cheerful as a child who's gotten all A's on his report 
card.
